Presented by:
Rob Allen, Estate Planning Attorney, Watsonville, Tanya Harmony Ridino, Harmony Law, Estate Planning and Guardianship Attorney, Aptos, Kellie Morgantini, Attorney, Monterey County
All these threats facing our community are in the news - especially child safety in light of the immigration practices and family separation.
This program reviews the newly enacted Family Preparedness Act (AB 495) and how it supports our locally developed Childcare Safety Plan which helps families provide for the care of their children if they are not available.
Join us for a lively one-hour presentation to learn about these plans and how they complement one another to provide a range of options for family protection.
Learn about your community’s efforts to assisting families with these plans and how you can get involved. We’ll talk about the "Train the Trainers" model working with school and health staff along with volunteers to provide support to families through trusted sources.
Please join our panel of attorneys who first developed the Childcare Safety Plan in 2017 and are actively engaged at the local and statewide levels, to protect our clients and the community.
You’ll come away with an understanding of what AB 495 and Childcare Safety Plans are and tools to use them for your community.
