Experienced criminal defense attorney Jeff Aaron will discuss hearsay in the California Evidence Code and case law, including the rules admitting or excluding hearsay, and the application of those rules to various trial scenarios and kinds of evidence.
Speaker Bio:
Jeffrey Aaron is currently an Assistant Public Defender in Sacramento County. Prior to that, he was the Public Defender of Mendocino County. Jeff spent a dozen years in the San Bernardino Public Defender’s Office, during which time he moved from a line Deputy Public Defender to a Chief Deputy and spent six years in the Death Penalty Defense Unit. He was in the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the Central District of California for about 13 years, moving from a line deputy to the Directing Attorney for the Eastern Division. Jeff has also been in private practice and on the Criminal Justice Act Panel. He has tried over 200 state and 24 Federal trials.
